Desert Star Dance provides excellence in dance training for preschoolers through adults in a safe and healthy environment. We provide a family atmosphere and strive to maintain a balance between fun and discipline. We make dancing fun, yet always encourage our students to understand the dedication it takes to become an accomplished dancer. At Desert Star Dance there are classes for all levels of interest and a diverse array of styles to choose from. We believe class should be FUN for every age and skill level, but, more so, we are committed to a learning environment where students are growing, progressing, and evolving as artists and athletes.

The “Dance with Us” program exclusive to “NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet”, provides American ballet students with a rare opportunity to audition, rehearse, and perform alongside a professional, international touring ballet company in the Nutcracker production.

We offer choir programs for children in grades K-12, including music exploration, literacy, and performance.

The Presidio Museum offers both virtual and live educational opportunities for professional educators, homeschoolers, and family groups that focus on the history and culture of Southern Arizona and the Spanish that inhabited the Tucson Presidio.

Our fun puppet building workshops combine art and STEM principals to create puppets that kids can take home with them. Our puppeteering workshops get kids on their feet and teach them how to tell stories and express emotion through puppetry.

Education in traditional crafts

All virtual classes cover pronunciation, vocabulary, new phrases, practical grammar, and culture through activities, videos, games, songs and other fun presentation elements.

Hands-on activities in magnetism, electricity, physics, and more. Each workshop includes an introduction to the concept followed by exploratory learning activities. Activity worksheets are used to record results. Students work in teams of 2 or 3.
