Dog Days of Glendale Celebrates Healthy Pets, Happy Lives on February 25
Glendale, Ariz. – It’s a new year, and in 2023 the Dog Days of Glendale event has pledged to help humans and their dogs be healthier and happier! Head to downtown Glendale’s Murphy Park on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to discover a fun day for the whole family and plenty of activities, vendors, demonstrations and more.
This year’s theme means the event will focus on ways to improve the health of our furry friends with vendor activities like the Bark Buster’s Challenge Zone and RunBuddy Mobile’s dog gym.
Other things to see and do will include K-9 first aid/ CPR demonstrations, pet product samples, adoptions and more.
Attendees at Dog Days of Glendale will also have the opportunity to give to pets in need by donating to Animals and Humans in Disaster, Empty Pet Bowl Pantry, a 501c3 organization who partners with coalitions and other agencies across Arizona to provide assistance to thousands including animals in disaster. This year’s donations will be earmarked for the organization’s programs benefiting veterans and their pets. Please visit https://www.animalsandhumansindisaster.org/inkind-donation-needs.html to learn more about the items being accepted or purchase Rover’s Raffle tickets for a chance to win a variety of prizes, with all proceeds going directly to the charity.
The day will also feature Murphy’s Merchants, an area for local businesses to showcase their wares. Vendors and exhibitors include everything from goods like dog bandannas, jewelry and natural dog treats, to services like grooming, non-profit organizations, various city of Glendale services and an Arizona Information Center. After shopping and browsing, grab a snack or lunch with Glendale Eats, a pop-up outdoor café in Murphy Park, where local restaurants will deliver right to the park.
Dog Days of Glendale would not be possible without our community partnerships and sponsors, including Top Dog sponsors, Sanderson Ford and the Glendale Chamber of Commerce. Other sponsors include Bark Busters, Ocotillo District Councilmember Jamie Aldama, Midwestern University, Garden of Eden Holistics, Glendale Firefighter Charities, Glendale Flowers and Gifts, Papa Ed’s Ice Cream, Paws Choose Us, Pratt’s Pets Glendale, Retail Therapy, Ropin’ the West, Secret Desert Soapworks and Sign-o-Rama.
