Desert Ecology Day with the Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary
10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Join us for an exciting visit from the Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and preservation of native and non-native reptiles through education, rehabilitation, rescue, and relocation. Come stop by to meet and learn more about Arizona's native reptilian species!
Rio Salado Audubon Center Informational Table
10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Visit Rio Salado Audubon Center's Informational Booth to learn more about birding in Arizona and what a trip to the Center would look like! Come stop by to learn more! The Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center is a nature center located in the heart of Phoenix's Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area. Less than two miles from downtown Phoenix, the Center is a gateway to a lush Sonoran riparian habitat used by more than 200 species of birds and other wildlife.

Join DVPP staff member for an engaging guided tour that will educate you about the native life in the Sonoran Desert! Learn more about native plants and animals of the Sonoran Desert as well as how indigenous people have historically survived off the desert ecosystem!
